all because 2 ppl fell in love..

1st Day of SKOOL

So we showered, had family prayer and sent our daughter to bed early for skool last night. On sat i did baby's skool shopping (yes last min, and never again) and I just kept thinking OMG my baby will be going to skool, where oh where has the time gone. It was like yesterday, yes yesterday she was this tiny=(
ONCE UPON A TIME..

New Mommies CHERISH every min and every moment. That's one advice I always give because before you know it they'll be going to skool like mine is.

So today we slept thru our alarm..lol Rushed to bush our teeth, wash our face and got ready. Did her hair and had breakfast. She was excited the WHOLE time and kept saying "I'm sooo excited to go to school, Mom" Daddy slept thru the whole thing..lol After we were ready and had 10min left, we woke up Daddy to give baby a Blessing before she started her 1st school year. It was beautiful and again grateful for the PRIESTHOOD. It calmed us down (more like me) She said her good byes to Dad as he tells her "have a good day @ school baby, I'll miss you" (soft) but that's what happens when u have a girl..lol and I LOVE it!

We made it to school on time with time to spear(oh yeah)lol, had a meet and greet with baby's teacher Ms.Bravin (real nice lady). She saw her bff from primary Brooklyn which made her even more EXCITED. They don't have the same class, which is probably a good thing..lol but they do see alot of each other on the playground. She played with her friend while I stood there and watched as my growing child played. I was happy for her because she was so excited, and I knew she was going to be ok. The bell rang i squeezed her tight fighting back my tears (which i think its cuz I'm prego, juss sayn)lol gave her a BIG KISS and she lined up for class. She waved bye and said "i love you Mom" (tear)

I LOVE YOU MORE BABY!

CTR 5

We were called (my hubby & I) to couple teach in the Primary, which by the way is something that I super duper LOVE. We teach the C.T.R 5 class.
With only havIing one kid right now and one on the way I feel this is good practise for my husband to learn how to speak and teach little kids. He seems to talk to them as he does my daughter like their grown ups or worse his brothers. Its in working progress..lol
We find ourselves never wanting to miss a Sunday due to our lil class. There is only 6 of them but boy can they be a handful, their lil personalities and fun filled spirits that want to know more about Jesus Christ is what makes me LOVE them. I learn so much from teaching them.

It is a sacred responsibility to teach children the gospel of Jesus Christ and help them learn to live it.

This past Sunday yest. was one of our kids (Samuel's) birthday so I made cupcakes for our class (bomb by the way) We started off with a quick lesson then on to a game and then cupcake party..lol They are hyper and so energetic, silly, sweet, so loving and helpful. I just can't get enough of them.

MAKESmeHAPPY..

Even though we still don't know what we're having (boy or girl) I'm just HAPPY to know that inside of me is a healthy growing BABY!

My daughter also MAKES ME HAPPY, she is always HAPPY, she's so creative, loves to draw and always wants to be doing something. Now that she knows we're having a baby shes SUPER excited always drawing things for the baby. She is going to be such a GREAT BIG SISTER!

You cant tell but this pic is a bouquet of tissue flower for me, isn't she SWEET!

Flowers for Mommy

                                                              I just LOVE her

BEING HER MOMMY MAKES ME HAPPY!

Mommy/Daughter DATE..

So with school approaching and another baby on the way, I figured I need to have more one on one with my BABY GIRL. Dates like we use to with my Mom. Just the girls and Mom and just the boys and Dad and we'd switch off.

Two things accomplished tonight.

#1 QUALITY Mommy Baby TIME
As we let Daddy sleep since he still on and off with his sleep, we snuck out to have a Mommy Daughter Date. We talked as we drove about where we should go eat. Of course McDonald was her 1st choice but this was a special date.(and i cant stand McDonalds..lol) So we named things she wanted to eat and of course my girls fav is SPAM MUSUPI. The weekend before we found a nice Asian buffet near the house so we went there.
We talked about how school was starting, and cracked jokes. We laughed @ her silly jokes and my funny faces. We talked about her Dad, even tho we were having a BLAST just us she is ALWAYS thinking about her Dad and wished he was there. She stuffed here lil self with about 10 spam musubis yes 10 and although I'm not a big fan of Chinese or Asian but I LOVE THE WAY THEY COOK THEIR VEGGIES!

#2 BABY LOST HER TWO FRONT TEETH
So since our trip to California we noticed that our daughter had 2 loose teeth on bottom along with the once that should grow after she looses her teeth were growing behind the loose teeth (NO BUENO) We made an appt but its not till next month BOOO right.
Any who as we're eating I notice her teeth and ask her if I can pull it out for her, of course she refuses and continues eating her ice cream and messing with her teeth.
As she's drinking she says "Mom I have something good and crazy to tell you"
Me "ok"
Baby "One of my tooth fell off"
Me "yay let me see"
Baby "I swallowed it, I didn't know it was my tooth. See I told you it was good and crazy"
Me "what, are you ok"
Baby "I didn't know and it didn't hurt"
We look @ each other and start BUSTING up
So I tried to see if she wanted to throw up, I didn't want the tooth to hurt her in any way, but that didn't happen. Then as we're sitting there shes messing w/her other tooth so I tell her just pull it out..lol(joking) and of course the second one comes out..lol MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Our date didn't end there, we got home and thought it was a GREAT IDEA to go swimming since NO ONE was in the TUB(surprisingly) We relaxed and I tried to teach my daughter how to swim but its in working progress.

I love my lil girl shes the bestest blessing, definitely our JOY and I'm so grateful for her, she teaches me everyday and she doesn't even know it. I love you SHLAYNA FA'VA FONUA for ALWAYS ALWAYS!

p.s So baby knows about the tooth fairy and was sad she didn't have one of her tooth. Of course the Tooth Fairy is AWESOME and knows about all the lil kids teeth and she woke up to find this under her pillow!

oh yeah money in the BANK..lol

We have agreed to have MOMMY DAUGHTER DATES once a month, FUN RIGHT.. shes super excited as am I

WARDcamp, BISHOP..huh?

So we planned on heading back early but we ended up staying LONGERRR in CALI because well my hubby loves me duhhhhh..lol So we stayed for my parents ward camp which my daughter had a BLAST, out doors all day come on what kid wouldn't love that!!

I LOVE YOU DAD!

thePRIESTHOOD

Ok so I LOVE to read blogs and yes i totally suck at keeping up but I'm almost there..lol
I super suck @ details and remembering stuff so i guess this is a great way to keep up with my sucky memory.

I wish i had started this a couple years ago.. I had gone through alot of ups and downs and on a total emotional roller coaster that blogging probably would have helped me keep sane, thank goodness for my daughter and a loving earthly Father who continued to give me a FATHERS BLESSING, he just knew and I just LOVE that!

One Sunday in July after we had visited with my in-laws we headed back to my parents home. My Dad was having one of his many many one on ones with my daughter and asked her to go get Mommy and Daddy. We sat in my parents living room w/my parents and daughter and my Dad starts to talk to us. He says he's been thinking about us alot lately and he didn't get to talk to us before we had left the last time and had felt inspired to talk to us now. He continued going on about how much he prays for us and always puts our name in @ the temple and how @ there last ward conf. they spoke on the priesthood and how we shouldn't wait for those to ask us for blessings to give them. If we feel inspired to do so, that we should. He also said he didn't want this oppurtunity to pass. He turned to my husband and asked "Chris, can I give you a Fathers Blessing?" My husband said Yes without hesitation. My Dad went on to say that as he was talking to baby one of the things she said to him was "Papa you know what i wish for?" What bby "I really wish my Daddy can walk again that's my only wish" he continues on with tears in his eyes saying I can not give you a blessing unless you let me and that through your faithfulness and obedience that these blessings can come to pass.  The spirit was so strong in the room.
As my dad gave my husband a blessing I remembered as clear as day a dream i had once had a couple years back that I've only shared w/a few of my sisters and of course my husband. A voice saying that my husband will be able to walk again but it was through his faithfulness and his obedience that he would do so. It was sooo real and I felt that again as my Father was giving my husband a blessing.
My Dad ended his blessing with Father I ask thee for a favor that you would grant my granddaughter Shlayna her wish that her Dad could walk again and it was so moving and not a dry eye in the room. I could not hold back the tears.

My Father has always been my hero, while growing up I wanted to go every where he went. He has such a BIG HEART and serves unconditionally without question. He has shown his love for us and teaches thru his actions and his examples.

“Every father, having children born to him under the covenant,
is to them as a patriarch, and he has the right to bless his posterity
in the authority of the Priesthood which he holds.” Elder John A. Widtsoe

I dreamed of marring a man who had the same power as my Father because thru I my Fathers Priesthood I have seen many miracles and I'm excited to see my husband bless me and our children and our children's children. My daughter starts school soon and I cant wait for my husband to bless my daughter before she starts school and every school year after that. Its a comfort for me, I know that everything will be okay. When my husband blessed our home, I had no worries that anything will happen to us.
I can go on and on about the blessings of the priesthood and how it has blessed my life, because it has but I won't.. the Priesthood is BEAUTIFUL, its a blessing from our Heavenly Father himself the POWER to act in his name and this I testify is true.

more of JULY..

As we traveled back and forth to California in July, I have to say it has been the longest drive everrr in my life..lol but well worth it=)

time w/the AFUTITIS
We hung out all night playing different card games, swimming, bbq'n, watching movies, having super FHE, and watching football games. Oh and how lovely was the weather in cali so cool and breezy we got to be out doors ALOT=).. My daughter got to spend the summer with her cousins Zak, Kayla, and Romeo and of course Fusia and Roxy..lol<<---Mom and Ariels dogs..

There was one down side to my trip. I didn't go to the BEACH=(booo but its ok I didn't really want to make the drive..lol but oh how I've miss the beaches of California

something Las Vegas does not have..

to be BETTER at..

So while I was in CALI we spent time with both sides of the family FONUAS and AFUTITIS they are literally 10 mins away from each other (well @ least our parents homes are) and that is definatly a PLUS!

time w/ the FONUAS
Because Chris's parents volunteered to be Mas and Pas @ a youth pioneer trail, they decide to walk about 2-3xs a week so that they could prepare themselves physically for the trail(hike) and so baby got to tag along with them on their park walks. My daughter went to the park with her Gpa Naisa and Gma Siale and spent some QT with them. This is the 1st time for her and I'm glad she enjoyed being with them and having one on one time with them. She has grown so much and I know they enjoyed her lil spirit and i just know she enjoyed Gpa Naisas jokes and convos with Gma Siale.

Part of the Pioneer Hike they had to dress like the Pioneers and find stories to share about the Pioneers and what they went through. My husband and I enjoyed finding spiritual thoughts for them and stories that they could tell their Pioneer kids. I can honestly say I learned alot about the Pioneers myself and how GREAT their faith in the Lord during such hard times.
I was thinking I really don't have much to complain about. I don't have to walk for miles with out shoes, or days with out showers, walk in the snow pushing a 500lb hand cart or walk period and thats not even half of their struggles. It really makes you humble yourself.
I also helped my mother in-law with her costume which I enjoyed. I started it and she finished it. We made aprons and bonnets. I did not take pics, shame on me. I'm not professional or anything, I just know the basics and do my own thing..lol but I dream about the day i own my own sewing machine so that I can sew my daughters some cute clothes. So I hope TO BE BETTER AT SEWING, helping my Mother with her Pioneer clothes reminded me of how much I've always wanted to make clothes for my kids and of course for Meee!)
One day..

CALIinJULY

K back to Cali in JULY.. please forgive the whip lash. I start blogs and then i don't finish them. So let me get JULY over with, some GREAT stuff happen to me and I easily forget to jot them down and my memory super sucks. Its like a camera if you don't snap it quickly all you get is a blurrr...lol true story of my life.

Ok so my daughter met one of her cousins, the newest member to TEAM FONUA apparently for the first time..lol She just simply adores him. But due to his 1st shots he was a lil fussy ok alot fussy..lol but can you blame the lil guy everyone kept touching his ahhwee =(.. Got a few pics and well its blurry..lol oh how i miss my camera, we love you baby NAISA!

WELL I need 100%

So i was finally able to see the Dr. 2day. Thanks to Latai we found a doctor I liked. I went with my husband and daughter to our 1st doc. appointment. Filled out papers as we to be seen. My daughter had alot of questions and was very excited when I told her we get to see a picture of the baby in Mommy's tummy.

My name was called and the nurse said "are u ready for your ultrasound?" Of course i shake my head yes. Right away my baby girl ask if she can come with me and the nurse says "yes". Then she looks @ me and says "is your husband coming?" Him being a GUY he doesn't want to, but of course I make him..lol If you know my husband he's a bit nervous and just doesn't want to hear that we're expecting a "GIRL"..lol

So I had my 1st ultrasound @ 17weeks and  with my daughter it was @ 7mnths..lol (another story)
As we were  able to see our bby on the big screen T.V my daughter was EXCITED to hear the nurse say that that's the baby. She gave me a hug and said "I'm so happy for you, is she gonna take the baby out?"=) She makes me SMILE everyday. As the nurse is trying to move my baby and answering all of my daughters questions, we hear "I still don't know what you guys are looking at". (my husband of course)

The nurse told us that she cant get a read of the babies sex, and then she says "I'm not sure but I think its a GIRL" I laugh, my daughter is jumping up celebrating and my husband is well ummm speechless..lol She says I'm not a 100% sure but the way the baby is sitting it looks like a "GIRL"..lol of course he says "WELL I NEED 100%"..

I am happy to say that I'm grateful to hear that our baby is healthy and <3 beat is strong  but we're still waiting on our 100% proof..lol

I know not a very good pic..lol but its suppose to be the whole baby..lol

SUPRISEvisit

Lets continue to catch up in JULY..

So we had not been doing really well on sleep and so Wednsday morning I fell asleep @ around 2 bby and Hubby had just come into the room about 5:50am something when @ 6am we heard pounding on the door. Due to previous knocking I jumped up to see who it could be. The peep whole was covered so of course there was no way I was going to answer. They pounded and pounded, finally I said move ur hand from the peep hole. I had never been so happy to look into that peep hole..lol I opened the door and i got such a SUPRISE!!! My Mom, lil sis Ariel, lil bro and his wife and the best part was my BABIES KAYLA BELLE, ROMEO, AND ZAKEEEE!)
My daughter came out and as soon as she seen her lil brother Zakee she ran and jumped on him..lol these 2 are too funny 2gether i just LOVE IT!!
So even tho it was a GREAT suprise I had not really cleaned my house..lol This is why you should always be prepare(have a clean house) @ all times..lol

Wed.-we relaxed had hung out @ the house.
Thur.-I had quality time with my Mom, took her to
my fav spot the M and had brunch w/her,
and the kids went with there Unkle T to a water park.
We met up later later for lunch and played games and ate @ home.

Friday- Started early due to my brothers car broke down..lol
NO BUENO..lol but we were able to make it to my Moms
hair appointment @ 10am=) She wanted to get dolled up for
when she saw my Dad..lol

It was a short visit but I super enjoyed it. My family left @ 2 sat. morning with my daughter and my Hubby and I stayed behind. There was a D.I service that my husband signed up for so we left after that.

JULY, lets catch up

So lets CATCH up..

Most of July my family and I have been spending alot of time with family!

Lets START w/JULY 4th

Truly GRATEFUL to live in this land of the FREE and for those who have served in our country and who continue to fight for us.

It was our 1st 4th of July in Las Vegas so we decided not to go to Cali. Now if you know my Hubby he likes to go all out and spend about $2-$3 hundred on fireworks, but not this year due to funds..lol but No worries Oli and Latai totally made up for it..hehehe

Because we live in apartments we were not able to do fire works @ our place so we went to the Hubbys cuzn Latai and Oli's house. It was FUN!!

My daughter swam w/lil Chris all day until it was time to eat and pop fireworks and even then they didn't want to get out..lol We had a GREAT time with friends and family laughing, joking, and of course BOMB bbq by the BOYS Sam, K.J and the HUBBY!)

                                                 $800. worth of FIREWORKS
So you know we had alot of FUN FUN.. and this was the 1st year EVERRRRR LiL Chris stayed outside to watch and light fireworks.

Highlight of the night my Hubby actually thot he could light a rocket while holding it, too HILARIOUS!
Best Part of the night I GOT TO EAT and HAD NO COMPLICATIONS, YAY MEEEE!
Here are some more pics, we were too busy having fun to really take pics=)
