So while I was in CALI we spent time with both sides of the family FONUAS and AFUTITIS they are literally 10 mins away from each other (well @ least our parents homes are) and that is definatly a PLUS!
time w/ the FONUAS
Because Chris's parents volunteered to be Mas and Pas @ a youth pioneer trail, they decide to walk about 2-3xs a week so that they could prepare themselves physically for the trail(hike) and so baby got to tag along with them on their park walks. My daughter went to the park with her Gpa Naisa and Gma Siale and spent some QT with them. This is the 1st time for her and I'm glad she enjoyed being with them and having one on one time with them. She has grown so much and I know they enjoyed her lil spirit and i just know she enjoyed Gpa Naisas jokes and convos with Gma Siale.
Part of the Pioneer Hike they had to dress like the Pioneers and find stories to share about the Pioneers and what they went through. My husband and I enjoyed finding spiritual thoughts for them and stories that they could tell their Pioneer kids. I can honestly say I learned alot about the Pioneers myself and how GREAT their faith in the Lord during such hard times.
I was thinking I really don't have much to complain about. I don't have to walk for miles with out shoes, or days with out showers, walk in the snow pushing a 500lb hand cart or walk period and thats not even half of their struggles. It really makes you humble yourself.
I also helped my mother in-law with her costume which I enjoyed. I started it and she finished it. We made aprons and bonnets. I did not take pics, shame on me. I'm not professional or anything, I just know the basics and do my own thing..lol but I dream about the day i own my own sewing machine so that I can sew my daughters some cute clothes. So I hope TO BE BETTER AT SEWING, helping my Mother with her Pioneer clothes reminded me of how much I've always wanted to make clothes for my kids and of course for Meee!)
One day..
